I am totally intimidated by all those really great blogs out there in cyberspace. However, I thought it might help me record memories, otherwise being left to chance since I can't seem to get them down on paper in a journal or into a scrapbook - even though I have MANY supplies. I also thought it might be a fun way to share our lives with family and friends who might be interested - or at least pretend to be:) But even if no one else ever reads any of these blogs, it will make me feel better just knowing I have done SOMETHING in the way of preserving these times that are special to us.

Saturday was a great day for a hike on Rainbow Mountain - a cool, sunny, winter day. It's hard to believe we have this hiking trail right here in Madison. Someone had the great idea to bring our dog, Nike, along, which WOULD have been a great idea if only he hadn't gotten car sick - on the way there AND back!! It might have been understandable if it had been more than, say, 3 MILES round trip! AND we found out - you can lead a dog(???) to water but you can't make him drink.....
You did it! Great job!! I have to say that my rationale is exactly the same as yours...I just desperately want to get our memories down on "paper"! And it is so cathartic for me...I hope it brings you great joy. I know it will me...to read about the McDaniel family adventures!!I am SO excited!! Way to go, Christy! Love from out here!!
